Statement of Faith

I .
The Scriptures :

The Bible is the very Word of God and as such has the final word in all things pertaining to time and eternity. The Bible itself consists of 66 canonized books (Genesis-Revelation). We reject all forms of extra-Biblical revelations. The books of the Bible were written by men who were perfectly inspired by the Spirit of God. God has preserved His Word in the original languages and as such has provided a flawless benchmark of truth for all languages and generations. (2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Pet 1:20-21, Matt 24:35, Heb 4:12)

II. Salvation :

Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone. In His vicarious death on the cross, Jesus became the propitiation for the sins of all mankind. In His resurrection from the dead, He became the High Priest of the New Covenant, thereby fulfilling the requirements of the law and making final atonement for those who call on Him as Savior. The Scriptures indicate that when a person places their faith in Christ for salvation, they are in that moment justified before God, made alive by God’s Spirit, and sealed in Christ eternally. (Eph 2:8-9, 1 John 2:2, John 10:27-30, Heb 4:14-16, Rom 3:22-24, Rom 8:28-39, Eph 1:13-14)

III.
Jesus Christ :

Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Godhead in bodily form. Having been conceived in Mary’s virgin womb, the eternal God took on human form in the person of Jesus Christ. As the Son of man, Jesus was tempted in every way known to man. As the Son of God, Jesus overcame the temptations and limitations of His own physical nature and lived an immaculately sinless life. He is the fulfillment of all things pertaining to the law, the priesthood, sacrifices for sins, and the Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament. (Col 2:9, Matt 1:23, Heb 4:15, 2 Cor 5:21, 1 Pet 2:22, Matt 5:17)

IV. Humanity :

Every human being is sinful in his natural condition and cannot experience spiritual life unless he is born again by God’s Spirit. When a person places their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, they are made alive by God’s Spirit, their sins are forgiven, and they receive God’s gift of eternal life. (Rom 3:23, John 3:3, Eph 1:7, John 14:6)
